Google Places. Every venue is verified as operating, rated 4.0 or above with at least 30 reviews, then re-verified monthly. Closed venues are removed automatically.
T-003How are venues selected?
By review count and rating within each district and category, filtered by fixed adjudication rules. Listing is informational — venues don't pay to appear, and ranking is not endorsement.
T-004Which district should I start with?
East District (Big City mall and the Dongmen Street bar belt) for the strongest firepower; Zhubei's Wenxing Road bistro strip for the science-park after-work crowd; the City God Temple in North District for classic night-market eats. Each district page lays out the route.
T-005Is Hsinchu nightlife reachable without a car?
Mostly yes within the city core — the station, Dongmen Street and the temple plaza are walkable. Zhubei runs on the HSR station and ride-hailing. Late-night moves mean taxis. Never drive after drinking.
